This introduction to mosaics will give you a great foundation from which you can continue to design and make at home.
Marie will explain and demonstrate a range of mosaic laying techniques and show you how to design your own piece, considering colour, shape, pattern and scale. You will then be able to plan and make your own mosaic using glass and/or ceramic tiles and/or other recycled items such as mirror and crockery, cutting, shaping, laying and grouting the elements. Your design can be applied to a range of items supplied or you can bring your own small item to decorate such as a tray, place mat, flower pot, vase or picture frame (please contact us beforehand to check its suitability).

- Please bring an apron/old shirt to protect your clothes
- You may wish to bring a notepad and pen
