Whether you want to paint sheds or skyscrapers, barns or bridges, this workshop will help develop your use of colour and perspective to set structures successfully into the landscape.

Yvette will spend the day demonstrating how to mix and apply pigment to achieve aerial perspective and colour recession. She will also cover a range of painting techniques such as: wet in wet, dry brush, wet on dry, graduated mixed washes, lifting out and glazing, and using resist to create texture and form to render wood, glass, brick and stone as well as trees, hillsides and grassland.

Materials for the course

  • Any Watercolour materials and equipment you already own.
  • Watercolour Paper (preferably a NOT surface and 140lb/300gsm in weight)
  • Watercolour Brushes (Round No8 or 10 & a Flat Wash brush)
  • A 2B pencil 
  • A soft eraser
  • A water pot
  • Kitchen roll
  • Note pad and pencil/pen

We can supply all the materials you will need for a small charge.
