Above: silver circles pendant by Jo Hunter
Silver clay, sometimes known as Precious Metal Clay or PMC, is a mixture of clay, silver and binders which, when fired, results in 99.9% pure silver.
This course includes 10g of raw material, which is enough to make 2 - 3 items of jewellery such as a pair of earrings and a small pendant for example. In week 1, we will look at design and how to use the clay, including stamping, moulding and drying your pieces. In week 2, you will sand, fire and polish your designs to create your own unique silver jewellery. A selection of findings will be available to purchase on the course.
