Welcome to Spring 2018

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who visited Craft4Crafters at Westpoint in February, especially those who came to my stand and signed up to receive my newsletter. I really appreciate your interest. I've got lots of workshops planned for the new season so please read on, and follow the links behind the images or in the course text to sign-up.
If you've got friends or family coming to stay over Easter and would like a bespoke date arranging for a class, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Alternatively, if you have holiday cottages or B&B accommodation, I am very happy to bring a class to you and your guests. See details at the base of this newsletter for how to do this.

Silver Clay Jewellery for Beginners, £88.00

Friday 6 April; NEW DATE Tuesday 24 April; Thursday 31 May

This beautiful collection was made by Sophie, and amazingly, all from one pack of clay! She hadn't worked with silver clay before but knew she wanted to create a set of charms and this is the result, some of which Sophie was going to keep and others were planned as gifts for friends and family. If you'd like to have a go, please click here to book.

Beautiful Beads, £58.00

Wednesday 11 April; Saturday 28 April

My classes are very much about teaching skills and students are able to experiment and make their beads in any colour combo they like - so on one workshop, this striking red and blue mix sat alongside a gorgeous caramel and fushia scheme. You'll learn how to prepare and use polymer clay as well as cane building techniques to make a set of beads before stringing them to wear home. Book your place here

Mokume Gane Disc Beads, £58.00

Thursday 19 April

This stunning necklace was made by Regan on the most recent Mokume Gane Disc Beads workshop. She combined just four colours to create this necklace and also made the spacer beads between the discs which are delicately textured giving a beautiful contrast with the pearlescent focal beads. To try this technique yourself in your favourite colour scheme, book here.

Silver Clay Beads, £88.00

Sunday 29 April

This delicate silver plume pattern is the front face of a double-sided bead which Alyson created on a bespoke Silver Clay Bead workshop she requested last month. The reverse features a more modern 'linear' pattern so she could wear it either way depending on the occassion. She added a silver chain through the top of the bead (you can just see the holes for this about 1/4 of the way down from the top) and it looks absolutely stunning when worn. The next scheduled workshop is on Sunday 29 April and you can book a place here.

Arrange a bespoke class...

To arrange a class on a day to suit you (at no extra cost), please email me with the workshop title you are interested in and some suggested dates. I will get back to you to confirm an option which works for us both!

To buy my work...

I'm pleased to be taking part in an exciting new craft venture, Hedge Rose Corner. This recently opened shop sells a wide range of hand made items by local makers in and around Launceston. Located at 5 Southgate Street, the shop is open 10.00 - 4.00 Tuesday - Saturday. Alternatively, everyone is welcome to visit the studio - just let me know a few days beforehand when you'd like to come to ensure that I'll be in!
