Polymer Clay Shawl Pins

Polymer Clay Shawl Pins

10.00am - 4.00pm

A shawl pin makes a fabulous fastener for a woolly wrap, a great embellishment on a chunky knit and a unique decoration for a knitted hat or scarf. Come and make two on this one day course.

Polymer clay is an ideal material with which to make a decorative pin as it is lightweight and therefore won't pull the garment out of shape. It can also be moulded, shaped, textured and blended to produce fabulous colours and design details, creating beautiful, wearable pieces of art!

Working with an infinite selection of colours and decorative surface finishes, I will show you how to design your pins and how to work with the materials to achieve strong, durable and completely unique pieces. There will be demonstrations throughout the day and lots of advice and tips on good practice. Finishing and polishing techniques will also be covered.
