Silver Charm Workshop

Silver Charm Workshop

10.00am - 4.30pm on day 1

10.00am - 12.00pm on day 2

Silver metal clay is an amazing material! Made from recycled silver, mixed with organic binders and moisture, it can be textured, shaped, cut and moulded like clay, but, when it's fired, it reverts to become 99.9% fine silver again. This means that you don't need any prior jewellery making or silversmithing skills to enjoy this media and make beautiful, fine silver jewellery pieces!

The one-and-a-half day workshop will start with an introduction to 3D design considerations and the opportunities that silver clay gives you for adding amazing detail and features within your charm.

You will make every aspect of your three dimensional piece - both inside and out, learning and developing your skills with complex construction techniques as you go. You will also have the chance to add additional decorative silver elements if you wish before refining your piece at the end of day 1.

Having been fired overnight, the shorter session on day 2 will be spent polishing your piece and adding an optional patina if you wish.

This workshop is suitable for those aged 16+.

My workshop classes have a maximum of six places for polymer and just four for silver. This ensures that everyone gets plenty of support and help when they need it, and everyone can work at their own pace. There is no minimum number of students required before a class will run so please don't be concerned that once you have booked, your class might be cancelled. Once you have paid, I will send you a Course Information Sheet which is your confirmation that I have received your booking. It includes a detailed map and tells you what to expect on the course and what to bring so, look out for this in your inbox!

If you have any questions at all, please get in touch here or ring me, Jo, on 01566 784713.
